WHY BINS NEED REGULAR CLEANING
DIRT BUILDS UP QUICKLY
In just one week, your bin can collect a significant amount of dirt and bacteria that don’t get taken away with your rubbish when emptied.
THAT OFFENSIVE SMELL
We’ve all walked past an empty wheelie bin that still stinks. That’s a clear sign that the bin has a good build-up of dirt gone mouldy or that bacteria is growing.
YOUR BIN BECOMES A BREEDING GROUND
The build-up and the smell create favourable conditions for the breeding of flies, maggots, cockroaches and rodents. In turn, these parasites encourage the spread of disease and sickness. In addition, various bacteria, mould and spores can be harboured in these bins, including:
Enterobacteriaceae is a family of bacteria, which includes salmonella, shigella and E. coli. They are responsible for both mild and life-threatening infections in children and adults.
Staphylococcus infections are highly contagious. While they mainly affect the skin with boils and blisters, they can also cause serious internal discomfort.
Proteus Vulgaris organisms are implicated as a serious cause of various infections in humans.
HOW WE CLEAN YOUR REFUSE BINS
The Kleen Bin trailer will come along the same day the municipality empties your wheelie bin. All you need to do is ensure your bin gets left out so we can wash and sanitise it on your premises.
Wheelie bins are cleaned using pressurised water and eco-friendly cleaning detergents. We use our patented mobile Kleen Bin machine, which can clean up to four bins simultaneously. It operates by spraying a strong jet of water mixed with the detergent into the bins.
The water is filtered and recycled before being disposed of. We are mindful of the environment at large at every point of the process and the laws imposed by local authorities.
We are proud to use SABS-approved bio-degradable chemicals during the cleaning process because this ensures that the environment is not damaged during or after our cleaning process. However, our chemicals are strong enough to kill off 99.9% of all mould, bacteria, spores and harmful pathogens.
STAY IN TOUCH
Even though we have a good relationship with local municipalities, occasionally, there may be operational delays resulting in bins not being emptied and cleaned. Our messaging system enables us to stay connected with our clients, and if needed, we may request you to leave your bin out to be washed the following day.
You can receive your invoices via email, text message, or hard copy. We accept payments through debit orders and various other methods. To learn more, please contact a franchise that is located near you.
